In Ayurveda the basic challenge is- quality medicines. Every second place of Ayurveda struggles for the same. We also struggled. It took years to become 60% self-sufficient for the medicines. There are multiple challenges with Ayurvedic medicines. And the most complicated was- selection of herbs and collection. List is endless.
And with pharmaceutical set up risk of greed is high. When we produce medicines in house. Obviously we focus on sales. And this is the basic problem with many Ayurveda groups. Because every organisation is focusing on the sale of medicines not on the treatments.
Obviously, when some is in production of medicines- the “greed” of sale comes by default.
The best answer we had for this was- make own medicines but don’t market these. Therefore whatever medicines we are producing are just for the dispensing for our patients only.
The Sukhayu products are available to patients only and this whole system is with two main purposes-
- To provide the best quality medicines to our patients and
- To keep the cost of the medicines under control.
How do we work on this
Dr. Vinay takes care of this process. Dr. Vinay is PhD in Ayurvedic medicinal plants. His profile is to identify and collect the right medicines from right habitat. Under his expertise, we prepare the medicines. So that we can help the patients with best clinical results.
For example,
Where we need “Vanshlochana” we procure it from Malaysia. We don’t use chemically synthesised- silica for this.
If we need “Manjistha” as a blood purifier, at Sukhayu it is obvious that it will come from Iranian sources.
Obviously with this precision we are able to give proper results to our patients.
Quality and Research Based Products
For the 40% products, which we are not able to prepare “right now”. We procure these medicines from sources. The sources where they work on quality standards. Prices are also important in this category.
There are certain Ayurveda pharmaceutical companies, who are selling the simple herbs with some 1000% margins, Sukhayu Ayurved is not in favor of these groups and companies. Because for us medicines are just part of the treatment, nothing else.
In next 5 years Vaidya Pardeep aims to be 100% self sufficient with medicines. So that we can ensure the highest quality of the medicines and can help the common man.
